NEWS Berlin Marathon: We are now SOLD OUT for Berlin - but if you are looking for a super fast German Marathon this October then the second fastst time ever run was at FRANKFURT last year - just 4 seconds slower the the World best set in Berlin. Our Frankfurt trip is based in the excellent Inter Contiental Hotel, located very close to the start, and will be escorted by two of the UK's top coaches Nick Anderson and Phoebe Thomas of Runningforus - you couldn't which for a better set up. New York Road Runners held the International ballot for places in the New York Marathon on 25th April and you can check on www.ingnycmarathon.org to see if you got in. If you didn't get in through the ballot there is still an opportunity to enter with one of our Guaranteed International Travel Partner places - our ITP places close at the end of July or sooner if our allocation fills before then....demand far outstrips supply and we will have sold all our limited allocation before then. ON THE TRAIL OF GREAT ADVENTURE Our most popular tours so far in 2012 are the amazing Trail Running events - the Great Wall Marathon, Big Five Marathon and Polar Circle Marathon are all sold out for 2012. We have just launched two of the very best Trail Marathons on the website for 2013 - The Cuban Trail Marathon (Feb) and the Himalayan Kingdom Marathon, Bhutan (May). These offer everything that is best in trail running - enjoyable but challenging courses in spectacular scenery and fantastic holiday experiences. In Cuba we combine the World Heritage site of Old Havana with a week in a remote beach resort in the Sierra Maestra Mountains, where Guevara and the Castro's started the Revolution over 50 years ago. Bhutan is simply a magical place - about the size of Switzerland, but more beautiful than even the Alps. The trip combines with a stopover in Kathmandu and, along with the Cuban Trail Marathon should be on the absolute 'must do' list of any trail running traveller. With trail marathons selling out ever more quickly we recommend early booking of these two classics. RUN CHICAGO WITH PAUL EVANS Chicago Marathon winner and 2:08 performer, our own Paul Evans, will be escorting our Chicago Marathon trip once again - there's no better authority on how to run (and I guess, how to win) Chicago than Paul and he will also be guiding you through your training in the lead up to the big day. Paul will also be leading our Algarve Summer Training week in September......it's a magnificent time to be in the Algarve for a late summer break with temperatures still in the mid-20's and really warm evenings which mean you can sit out in a t-shirt and eat as the sun goes down. RUN ONE OF THE FASTEST MARATHON ROUTES WITH NICK & PHOEBE The second fastest marathon time ever run was on the Frankfurt Marathon route last October, which is great testimony to the flat route and superb organisation. You don't have to be in 2:03 shape to run - with large entries the race has all standards. Nick Anderson & Phoebe Thomas from Runningwithus will be on hand on each trip to help you get the most from yourself on these ideal courses. CYCLING EVENTS We're pleased to launch our new cycling programme. We have two great Coast2Coast 100 mile rides on offer - the first from Morecambe to Redcar, crossing the splendid North Yorkshire Moors, and the second from Minehead to Salcombe taking in Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks. UK EVENT UPDATE Our next event is the Dunsfold Duathlon and 10km on the Top Gear Track near Guildford. Entries for the South Downs Marathon, Half Marathon and Relay are 50% up on last year and it is looking like a fantastic day in prospect - the South Downs Marathon was voted the Most Scenic Marathon in the UK by Runner's World Readers - entries are still open so don't miss out and enter today.
